Experteer Overview
As Legal Counsel in Madrid, you will support the EMEA Legal Team to minimize legal risk and ensure compliance across commercial, employment, corporate and operational matters. You’ll act as the day-to-day legal contact for internal stakeholders and help drive efficient processes, governance and documentation.You will work cross-functionally to standardize contracts and manage external counsel in Spain and Portugal. This role offers impactful work shaping legal and commercial outcomes in a fast-paced, international setting.
Compensaciones / Beneficios- Manage the contract lifecycle from drafting to negotiation for technology-related commercial agreements (MSAs, SaaS, licenses, NDAs, data processing, SLAs)
- Draft, review, and align transaction documents with company policies and business needs
- Prepare corporate documents such as minutes, consents, and resolutions in collaboration with the Legal team
- Advise on employment law matters and coordinate with HR and external counsel as needed
- Maintain and improve the Legal Department's document databases, playbooks, clause libraries, checklists, and approval workflows
- Coordinate with external counsel in Spain and Portugal to ensure cost-effective support
- Standardize contracts and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Collaborate with Global Legal and subject-matter experts to resolve commercial and legal issues
- Master in Spanish Law
- 5+ years of experience reviewing international contracts, preferably in software or multinational settings
- Experience advising on Spanish and Portuguese employment law
- Strong interpersonal, judgment, and business acumen with clear communication across organization
- Excellent Spanish and English written and oral communication skills
- Ability to triage heavy workflow, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively
- Comfort working in a fast-paced international environment and balancing legal risk with business goals
