As a Data Scientist at Sanofi in Barcelona, you will design and deploy scalable AI and GenAI solutions that support Commercial Pharma operations. You will contribute to digital transformation across global business units and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.You’ll work on omnichannel agents, AI-driven market access projects, and conversational data interfaces to improve the patient journey and business value. This role blends research, product delivery, and storytelling in a fast-paced, global setting.

- Contribute to digital transformation of commercial functions with high-impact use cases such as autonomous agents, AI-driven market access transformation, and conversational AI for data interactions
- Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, data scientists and engineers to deliver AI products with measurable business value
- Shape the digital Commercial AI strategy and influence platform and data foundation strategies
- Ensure AI solutions comply with responsible AI framework and promote best practices and documentation for GenAI/Agentic AI
- Stay up to date with GenAI/Agentic AI trends and bring best practices and innovative ideas to existing solutions
- Mentor and coach junior data scientists and interns
- Communicate AI concepts to non-technical audiences and manage blockers and risks in Agile environments
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Mathematics, Physics, Computational Linguistics or related field
- 1–3 years of applied AI/ML experience with exposure to Generative AI or LLM-based applications
- Proficiency in Python; PySpark familiarity is a plus
- Experience with AI/ML libraries and frameworks (e.g., Transformers, LangChain)
- Understanding of NLP concepts and data processing techniques
- Experience with structured/unstructured data; familiarity with Snowflake or vector databases (e.g., Pinecone) is a plus
- Knowledge of prompt engineering and interest in agentic workflows or AI orchestration
- Ability to write clean, modular code and contribute to AI projects in a team
- Exposure to deploying models in production/pre-production is a plus
- Basic understanding of AI/ML lifecycle and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with APIs and awareness of ethical/regulatory AI considerations
- Comfort with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence)
