In this role you will strengthen and evolve the operational risk framework within a fast-paced, multinational energy trading environment. You will work closely with stakeholders across levels to identify, assess, and mitigate risks in material transactions, projects, and new products.You will lead risk assessment workshops, root cause analyses, and drive a culture of robust internal controls. This position offers the chance to shape risk practices, analytics, and governance, contributing to the company’s risk maturity and continuous improvement.

- Lead operational risk assessment workshops from planning to reporting
- Advise stakeholders on risk identification, assessment, control/mitigation, and monitoring
- Identify, assess, mitigate, monitor, and report risks for transactions, business cases, projects, and new products
- Lead root cause analyses for risk events and align corrective actions with stakeholders
- Strengthen internal control systems and risk culture across the business area
- Build and analyze operational risk data to identify trends and escalate issues
- Build mutual trusted relationships with stakeholders
- Coach and mentor less experienced team members on operational risk matters
- University Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field (advantageously energy economics, operational risk, or internal audit)
- Strong knowledge of operational risk practices and internal control systems
- Thorough, diligent, with strong organizational and prioritization skills in a dynamic multinational setting
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and build trusted relationships
- Proven experience in energy trading, energy markets, and related processes and controls
- Experience in data analytics and visualization; knowledge of operational risk practices
- Team player with strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal English and Spanish communication; additional languages a plus
