Junior Project Manager (Temporary 1 year)
Reporting to the Head of this team, your main responsibilities will be:
Own end-to-end program management for EU Spanish Payment initiatives cross-country ensuring milestones are tracked, risks are escalated, and deliverables are met on timeCoordinate cross-functional workstreams across Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Retail, Tech, and Customer Service teams to unblock regulatory, contractual, and operational dependencies
Manage external partner engagement activities, including outreach to financial institutions, payment networks, and third-party service providers ensuring alignment on timelines, deliverables, and business models
Support the design and execution of shadow environment pilots and open innovation frameworks, coordinating between internal engineering teams and external partners
Monitor and report on key payment performance metrics providing regular updates to leadership and flagging risks proactively
Maintain and improve program documentation, process playbooks, and handover materials to ensure continuity and scalability across the team
Support the scoping and execution of AI-driven tools and automation initiatives in collaboration with product and engineering teams.
Experience of 1-2 years in program/project management
Strong communicator able to distill complex information in simple words
Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, IT, or similar, with 1-2 years of experience in program/project management (ideally in payments, fintech, or e commerce).Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills, able to manage multiple workstreams in fast paced, cross functional environments.
Experience working with data tools (BI, dashboards, SQL) and communicating complex information clearly to senior stakeholders.
Familiarity with payments, financial services, regulatory frameworks (e.g., PSD2, IFR), or go to market launches for digital products experience with external financial partners is a plus.
Fluency in English (C2) additional languages such as Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, or German are a plus.
