Senior Data Scientist - Athlete Performance

You’ll lead high-impact projects shaping the future of performance tracking and collaborate across product and engineering to ensure top-quality, real-time solutions. This role offers the chance to influence athlete performance across levels from schools to professionals.

• Create and improve algorithms using signal processing on raw sensor and GPS data to derive movement and load metrics
• Develop and deploy models that provide contextualized data to scientists, coaches, and recruiters at scale
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate wearable and optical tracking data into Hudl products
• Lead initiatives aligned with quarterly goals and advance athlete performance tracking

• Strong mathematical background with statistical operations and physics-based calculations for large datasets
• Proven track record in building, monitoring, and maintaining AI/ML models in production at scale
• Experience with model observability and handling data drift for long-term performance
• Familiarity with CI/CD for ML (e.g., MLflow or TFX) and writing unit tests for stochastic processes
• Background in biomechanical modeling and signal processing
• Multi-modal time series expertise for deep learning-based analysis and forecasting on sensor data
• Product-focused mindset translating data into actionable insights for coaches and athletes
