Data Scientist, Image Recognition - (Quick Commerce)

This role offers hands-on development of production-grade ML services at high scale, shaping how customers experience quick commerce. You will join a mission-driven team delivering measurable value and rapid iterations.

• Design, train and deploy ML models that automate content creation and recognize products from images at scale
• Experiment and validate model performance, translating insights into production-ready models
• Develop models to extract product details (e.g., barcode, name) and categorize products from images
• Collaborate with MLEs and software engineers to ensure scalable, reliable, low-latency solutions
• Contribute to the long-term vision of product image recognition while delivering short-term wins
• Stay up-to-date with state-of-the-art models and apply them to real business problems

• Bachelor in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Statistics, or a related field
• 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist with a strong focus on Computer Vision
• Deep expertise in PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Proven experience with Object Detection, Image Segmentation, and Classification
• Experience with model versioning/tracking (MLflow, Weights & Biases) and deploying models in production (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Excellent communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to engineers and business stakeholders
