Experteer Overview
In this role you drive bioinformatics and data science projects that illuminate disease mechanisms, identify drug targets, and support biomarker discovery. You work within a growing Barcelona team to deliver analyses, guide project scope, and shape new offerings for pharma and biotech clients.Expect hands-on analysis, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and opportunities to impact translational medicine programs at scale.
Compensaciones / Beneficios- Apply state-of-the-art bioinformatics tools and the Systems Biology Platform to generate hypotheses on disease mechanisms, drug response biomarkers, and targets
- Manage and execute bioinformatics analyses, ensuring adherence to scope, timeline, and budget
- Scope client bioinformatics projects by understanding needs and defining analytical strategy
- Contribute to portfolio development and improvement of bioinformatics offerings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients to drive project success
- 5 years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in Bioinformatics, Computational or Systems Biology or related field
- Master’s Degree in Life Sciences with strong computational component or in Computer/Data Science with Life Sciences component
- Advanced user of R, Python, and Linux/Unix with strong statistics/data analysis
- Experience applying statistical methods, AI/ML to large omics datasets, building predictive models, and generating actionable insights
- Experience defining bioinformatics projects and executing them independently
- Industry experience or providing bioinformatics as a service
