Staff AI Product Software Engineer

Experteer Overview

You’ll collaborate across product, design, and leadership to embed AI into product strategy, while staying close to customers to solve real problems. This is a hands-on, leadership-heavy role with a strong focus on building enduring AI capabilities.

• Define how we build AI at scale and shape AI-native product experiences
• Lead Spec-Driven Development to set clear success criteria before building
• Build and improve reusable AI foundations and abstractions
• Design and evolve modular AI skills for automating workflows
• Establish robust evaluation frameworks for quality, safety, and reliability
• Shape retrieval-augmented generation strategies grounded in trusted data
• Design human-in-the-loop and agentic workflows with transparency and auditable controls
• Own systems end-to-end from problem framing to production maintenance
• Stay connected to customers to inform product decisions
• Partner with Product, Design, and Leadership to weave AI into roadmap
• Raise the engineering bar through mentoring and better practices

• Solid depth in both backend and frontend software engineering
• Experience with cloud platforms AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Shipped real production products (not just prototypes)
• Strong understanding of APIs, cloud platforms, and system design
• Proven technical and cultural leadership with high standards
• Ability to push back on non-serving processes and drive adoption of abstractions
• Experience building real AI-powered systems or workflows
• Delivered measurable impact through previous shipping
• Led key technical decisions and created reusable patterns for the company
• Clear English communication; Spanish a plus
