In this role you lead root cause analysis for critical mechanical structures issues across the global wind fleet, driving containment, corrective actions, and systemic improvements. You will partner with Design, Sourcing, Parts, Services, and Fleet Performance to resolve recurring problems and reduce cost of quality.You tackle escalated safety and reliability concerns, shaping cross-functional solutions that prevent recurrence. This opportunity offers influence across engineering, operations, and supply chains to elevate fleet performance.
Compensaciones / Beneficios- Own RCAs from a technical and process perspective with cross-functional teams to enable timely issue resolution
- Support escalated PAC cases and own disposition for RCA-related PAC cases
- Lead SAFER actions and define approaches to reduce rework for future similar cases
- Build effective relationships with Fleet Performance, NPI Engineering, Field, Sourcing, Parts, and Quality teams to resolve fleet problems
- Mentor junior team members and drive cross-team initiatives
- Manage cost of quality related to field quality issue solutions
- Collaborate with Sourcing on supplier-caused defects and vendor recovery
- Support commercial and technical discussions with suppliers to resolve field quality issues
- Provide clear, consistent communications for internal/external Customers and regular RCA progress updates
- Define required RCA team roles and budget, manage PO workflow and approvals
- Maintain thorough RCA documentation in Fleet Engineering folders and deliver regular leadership updates
- Own the RCA report and communicate outcomes to senior leadership
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Significant experience in wind industry and RCA
- Proven RCA and experience with mechanical components/structures
- Experience with 8D problem solving and quality concepts/tools (Lean, Six Sigma)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Willingness to travel up to 10% and climb wind turbines
- Team leadership or mentoring experience
