As Analytics Engineer at Spendesk, you translate business needs into robust data models and analytics assets. You will transform raw data into business-ready datasets, build dimensional models, and enable self-service analytics for cross-functional teams.
You’ll bridge data engineering and analysis to ensure scalable, high-quality data that supports data-driven decisions. This role offers a chance to shape analytics capabilities in a fast-growing fintech environment with a strong emphasis on data quality and collaboration.

You will work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and product/business stakeholders to drive impact.

Transform raw data into business-ready datasets using dbt and the modern stack
Build and maintain dimensional models for BI and product needs
Implement business logic in the data transformation layer
Create reusable analytics assets for multiple use cases
Ensure performance, maintainability, and scalability of data models
Design and implement data quality tests and monitoring
Develop data validation rules and data quality SLAs
Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve data quality issues at the source
Enable self-service analytics with well-documented data models
Translate analytics requirements into technical solutions with stakeholders
Define metrics and ensure consistency across the organization
Document data and maintain catalogs; provide training on analytics tools
Deliver analysis-ready datasets for analysts and data scientists
Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and business audiences

Responsabilidades

3-5 years in analytics engineering, data analytics, or related roles
Proven track record building data models and transformations in production
Experience translating requirements into technical solutions with business stakeholders
Strong SQL expertise
Hands-on with dbt for transformation and modeling
Experience with Snowflake (cloud data warehouse)
Experience with data quality testing frameworks (dbt tests)
Proficiency with Git/GitHub
Knowledge of dimensional modeling principles
Experience with BI/analytics concepts and self-service analytics
Ability to document data and maintain data catalogs
