Money Laundering Reporting Officer - Spain

Experteer Overview

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external authorities to mitigate money-laundering and terrorist financing risks. This role offers hands-on impact in a fast-growing SEU environment with opportunities to shape Spain’s AML/CFT controls.

• Monitor AML/CFT, PEP, and sanctions obligations and reporting.
• Execute MLRO duties for the Spanish license, including SAR submissions and law enforcement responses.
• Ensure high-quality SARs and liaison with FIUs in Spain.
• Maintain up-to-date controls and procedures for regulatory scrutiny.
• Apply AML/CFT laws across jurisdictions for SAR reporting.
• Assess ML/TF risk for Spain-based products and services.
• Support ML/TF law research and practical reporting considerations.
• Collaborate with Security and Responsible Gaming on AML/CFT-related projects.
• Coordinate with due-diligence teams on player screening reviews and escalations.
• Design and deliver annual AML/CFT training.
• Provide intelligence support on AML/CFT, sanctions, bribery, and due diligence matters.
• Manage stakeholder relationships for regulatory inspections and audits.

• +5 years' MLRO experience in a regulated entity
• Fluent Spanish (written and spoken); Spanish resident with ability to relocate to Ceuta
• Understanding of cross-jurisdictional organized crime activity and terrorist financing typologies
• Ability to interpret and apply AML/CFT requirements in a commercial context
• Well-organised with strong planning and prioritisation in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and solid record-keeping
• Ability to deliver high-quality work under deadlines
• Comfort with learning new IT systems and software
