As a Staff Software Engineer on the Dow Jones Web Platform Team, you will shape scalable web and AI platforms while partnering with senior leadership. You’ll balance hands-on delivery with architectural oversight to drive product innovation across B2B and B2C offerings.You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Product, Editorial, and Marketing to align technical execution with business goals. You’ll mentor engineers, address systemic issues, and help deliver high-quality, reliable software in a fast-paced environment.

- 7+ years in software engineering
- 3-5 years in a lead engineering role
- Experience building digital subscription products, advertising and privacy technologies, and high-traffic websites
- Strong JavaScript knowledge and web stack (ExpressJs, React, Redis, NextJs, Node.Js)
- Advanced CSS (Grid, Flexbox, Media Queries, Container Queries, Transitions)
- Experience with AI tools (Copilot, Claude Code, OpenAI) for productivity and consumer-facing products
- Knowledge of software engineering fundamentals (web development, SOA, cloud, TDD, DDD)
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent or equivalent work experience
