In this role, you will own Middle East VAT compliance as part of Amazon's International Indirect Tax team based in Barcelona. You’ll handle VAT returns, registrations, and data analyses while collaborating with cross-functional colleagues. The role emphasizes process mapping, improvements, and automation to scale VAT operations for a global business.

You will support audits and onboarding of new entities, shaping how indirect tax is managed at scale.

Compensaciones / Beneficios

Prepare, analyse, review and submit Middle East VAT returns and related filings
Organise VAT registrations across various jurisdictions
Assist with VAT compliance queries from Amazon businesses operating across Middle East
Assist in mapping VAT processes and identify improvements and solutions for VAT issues
Prepare and review month-end VAT account reconciliations
Provide internal and external audit support, including data analysis
Provide VAT compliance support to colleagues across the business and contribute to Tax Requirement Documents for tech teams
Lead and participate in cross-functional projects prioritising automation and in-housing
Support business growth and onboarding of new entities to VAT compliance processes

Responsabilidades
