In this role you ensure on-site quality across offshore wind fabrication, coordinating between the site, project quality org, and contractors. You drive adherence to project requirements, standards, and codes while guiding teams to apply consistent quality methods.You’ll lead risk-based quality activities, inspections, and documentation to support safe, reliable execution. This is a hands-on, cross-functional position at the forefront of sustainable energy infrastructure with global reach.
Compensaciones / Beneficios- Lead QA/QC activities with the contractor to meet project standards and codes
- Identify inconsistencies or deviations in employer/designer documentation and address them
- Provide guidance to ensure consistent quality methodologies across suppliers and project teams
- Monitor supplier QC system and verify effective implementation
- Perform site inspections (welding, NDT, coating, materials, fabrication) and sign off QC records
- Attend Hold and Witness Points per approved ITPs
- Review and verify product conformity and coordinate company inspections
- Participate in FATs when required
- Review and accept technical specs, Quality Plans, ITPs, procedures
- Ensure proper issuance, filing, and traceability of QC records for Quality Dossiers
- Develop and deliver Quality Dossiers on time per project needs
- Manage Site Quality Resources and train inspectors on project quality requirements
- Maintain communication among site inspectors and central quality teams
- Plan and conduct supplier and sub-supplier audits (system, process, product)
- Manage NCRs and quality events from registration to closure
- Maintain and update the quality events package register
- Oversee Snag List tracking and resolution before final acceptance
- Report on site quality performance
- Support risk-based quality approach aligned with Systems Engineering principles
- Contribute to verification/validation across fabrication scope
- Support the project Gate Model milestones, deliverables, and acceptance criteria
- Capture and share Lessons Learned; drive continuous improvement in quality processes
- Collaborate with planning, interface, and change control functions
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
- Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience in offshore wind or large-scale industrial fabrication
- Proven QA oversight for Offshore Substation Topside and Foundations packages
- Specialist qualifications in welding, NDT, coating, electrical, civil works (EU-accredited)
- Experience managing international and remote inspection teams
- Certified ISO 9001 Auditor
- Excellent written and spoken English; strong Spanish is advantageous
