In this role you will lead Cytokinetics’ Spanish commercial efforts, shaping strategy across sales, marketing, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll drive launch readiness and build key relationships with healthcare professionals, payers, and regulators to advance our cardiac muscle therapeutics.

You will translate global strategy into regional execution, guiding a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organization. This senior leadership position offers the opportunity to influence long-term commercial success in Spain and expand into future launches.

  • Develop and execute the Spanish commercial strategy for Cytokinetics assets
  • Implement Spanish commercial plans aligned with global and European objectives
  • Represent the commercial function on the Spanish Senior Leadership team
  • Monitor market dynamics and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and patient-centricity
  • Collaborate across functions to ensure customer needs are met
  • Lead and manage the field sales team to achieve regional targets
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing commercial team
  • Set performance standards, CRM KPIs and incentive schemes
  • Oversee Spanish marketing, campaigns, congress strategies, and educational initiatives
  • Own the Spanish sales and marketing P&L, delivering revenue and profitability
  • Lead annual business planning and budgeting for the region
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and SOP adherence across commercial activities
  • Coordinate with market access to align with payer and provider needs
  • Act as external Cytokinetics ambassador with key centers and customers
Responsabilidades
  • Bachelor degree in Life Sciences or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of commercial experience in the Spanish pharmaceutical/biotech sector with launches of specialty therapies
  • Strong understanding of Spanish & Portuguese healthcare systems, market access pathways, and regulatory frameworks
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in cardiology or rare diseases is desirable
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and drive high-performing teams in matrixed environments
  • Experience in a small company environment is a plus
