Experteer Overview
In this role you will help shape the roadmap and implementation of internal/external API layers, integrations, and access management systems at Affinity. You’ll be one of the first engineers in our Barcelona hub, collaborating across product, design, and engineering to deliver high-impact features.Expect to prototype end-to-end solutions quickly, focusing on reliability, performance, and scalability to meet customer needs. You’ll mentor teammates and contribute to a culture of ownership and cross-functional collaboration, in a growth-oriented, hybrid work environment.

- Set and advance best practices for APIs, integrations, and IAM systems to meet performance goals
- Mentor engineers to raise technical proficiency across the team
- Promote operational excellence with emphasis on reliability, performance, and scalability
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in a senior or lead role
- Experience building web APIs and backend services using modern OOP
- Strong understanding of relational databases and diagnosing DB-level performance issues
- Ability to troubleshoot across network, application, caching, queuing, and storage layers
- Experience solving high-scale integration challenges or BI-related platforms
- Clear written and verbal communication; ownership mindset; collaborative in cross-functional settings
- Willingness to work in a cross-functional team with product stakeholders and experts
- Language proficiency in English
