Experteer Overview

You’ll establish reference architectures, drive architectural reviews, and mentor engineers to raise the platform’s design standards. This role sits at the core of enabling data access, reliability, and cost-efficient operations across the business, balancing security, efficiency, and cross-team collaboration.

• Own and design end-to-end Data Platform architecture for multi-cloud, ensuring scalability, resilience, and cost-efficiency.
• Define patterns for data ingestion, storage, transformation, and serving; govern data movement and accessibility decisions.
• Set design standards and reference architectures to reduce fragmentation and debt across the platform.
• Act as technical authority in architectural reviews, aligning data engineering, platform, and product stakeholders.
• Own and evolve Terraform codebase, standards for modules, state, workspace strategy, and CI/CD integration; hands-on coding.
• Champion infrastructure automation and enforce consistency and auditability across environments.
• Design cloud networking topologies (VPC/VNet, Transit Gateways, ExpressRoute/Direct Connect) and advise on zero-trust and private connectivity.
• Provide API design and integration guidance (REST, event-driven, messaging patterns) and API gateway/service mesh strategies.
• Architect cross-region and cross-cloud data movement with emphasis on consistency, latency, cost, and compliance.
• Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, product, security, and infra teams; mentor engineers; communicate architectural direction clearly.

• Significant hands-on experience in a senior or lead architecture role within a data platform, data engineering, or data infrastructure context.
• Deep expertise in AWS and Azure data and infrastructure services.
• Extensive experience writing and maintaining Terraform at scale, with modules, remote state, and CI/CD integration.
• Strong networking fundamentals with cloud topology, hybrid connectivity, and security boundaries.
• Solid understanding of API design principles and integration architectures across REST, event-driven, and messaging patterns.
• Proven experience designing cross-region and cross-cloud data movement with awareness of consistency, compliance, and cost implications.
• Technical breadth across infrastructure, networking, application integration, and data flows; ability to evaluate trade-offs.
• Security-conscious approach applied throughout the design process; hands-on problem-solving.
