Finance Business and Operational Controller

You’ll liaise with auditors, tax advisers, and Group Finance, shaping financial processes and controls at scale. This role offers a meaningful path to impact company performance and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic environment.

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities and review journal entries, accruals, P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare management reporting packs and KPI dashboards for leadership and Group, including variance analysis and commentary
• Ensure consolidation deliverables are accurate and on time
• Design, document, and enforce compliance with Magellan policies and process workflows
• Act as contact for external auditors and support statutory and tax audits
• Coordinate with Group Finance, tax and legal teams on cross-border matters
• Drive automation of recurring reports and SOPs; support ERP improvements and reporting tools
• Interact with commercial, operations and payroll teams to ensure accurate financial data
• Monitor KPIs and contribute to improvement initiatives
• Perform daily accounting activities and allocate closing tasks to meet monthly deadlines
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisers and Group Finance to ensure alignment
• Review income-statement subtotals and track performance variances vs targets
• Implement audit recommendations and ensure control effectiveness

• Proven experience as financial controller or business controller with delivery-focused, business-partner mindset
• Advanced Excel proficiency; strong PowerPoint presentation skills
• Ability to handle large data sets and perform deep-dive analysis while maintaining big-picture view
• Proficient English for international collaboration
• Team-oriented with ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments
• SAP power user experience is advantageous
• Additional language skills beneficial depending on regional needs
