If you're a Data Scientist with a passion for economics, statistical modeling, experimentation, and optimization, then this role offers you the opportunity to build complex pricing algorithms for our most popular Printers, PCs, and services in the market.About You:Deep Interest in Customer and Market Behavior: You are genuinely fascinated by understanding customer and market behavior and possess the skills to measure and anticipate it effectively.Passion for Data and Models: You thrive on unveiling answers to the most challenging questions using data and models, and find satisfaction in seeing your pricing recommendations being implemented, even when shopping for yourself.Continuous Learner: You have an insatiable appetite for learning something new every day and relish being surrounded by highly talented colleagues.Collaborator: You enjoy working collaboratively with different teams, including Data Engineering, MLOPS, and Project Management, to get the job done.Key Responsibilities:Statistical Analysis and Experimentation: Develop and apply statistical methods and experimentation to analyze the impact of pricing and sales decisions on business performance.Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design and deploy pricing initiatives based on analytical findings.Communication: Present results and recommendations to relevant stakeholders, including senior leadership, effectively.Process Enhancement: Streamline existing processes, from feature creation to post-modeling operations.Stay Updated: Keep up to date with the latest technology trends in the data science world and implement new statistical/ML methodologies as required.Data Management: Collaborate with data engineers to create automated flows with datasets that are exhaustive for modeling needs.Monitoring and Quality Assurance: Work with business analysts and data engineers to create monitoring dashboards to measure the effectiveness of model-driven decisions, identify issues, and take suitable actions.
Develop QA checks to prevent data-related problems from affecting models and decisions.Requirements:Must-haves:Experience: At least 5 years of working experience in data science, ideally in a consumer-focused setting.Programming: Proficiency in Python and/or R is required.Analytical Skills: Experience in creating and using statistical techniques and machine learning algorithmsData Visualization: Proven experience in visualizing and presenting data to stakeholders.Experimentation: Experience in designing, deploying, and analyzing in-market experiments and AB tests.Innovative Thinking: Ability to think creatively and invent original solutions to business and modeling challenges.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence key decision-makers.Education: A degree in Quantitative Marketing, Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, or other relevant quantitative discipline.Bonus points for:Interest in Pricing, Economics, and Consumer Behavior: A strong interest in these areas.CRM and Segmentation: Understanding of CRM and customer segmentation.Price Optimization Knowledge: Familiarity with price optimization approaches, price discrimination models, and a general knowledge of key concepts from industrial organization literature.Finance and Product Economics: Basic understanding of finance and product economics.Project and Product Management: Experience in project and/or product management.Reinventing since 1939.
