As a Data Platform Engineer, you help build, operate, and evolve internal data platforms that power analytics, data science, and AI workflows. You join the Data Foundations team to enable teams to work safely, efficiently, and at scale with reliable, user-friendly platforms.You’ll learn across a broad technical landscape while contributing to platform reliability, security, and scalability. This role offers growth within a multidisciplinary team and exposure to data engineering, software engineering, BI, and data science.
Compensaciones / Beneficios- Operate, monitor, and maintain shared data platforms for data engineering, analytics, and data science workflows
- Support administration of third-party platforms, including configuration, access management, and upgrades, with integrations and tooling
- Contribute to platform lifecycle activities like upgrades, dependency management, stability, security, and scalability improvements
- Develop automation and tooling in Python to support platform operations and user workflows
- Integrate internal and external systems to enable seamless data, metadata, and workflow connectivity
- Collaborate with more experienced engineers to design scalable, maintainable solutions
- Work with data scientists, analysts, and data engineers to understand needs and improve platforms
- Support development of reusable components, libraries, and patterns to improve consistency and developer experience
- Participate in incident response, debugging, and production support to diagnose and resolve issues
- Contribute to documentation, code reviews, and knowledge sharing to support engineering culture
- 2+ years of professional experience in platform/ software/ data engineering or related field
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
- Experience with CI/CD, version control, and basic DevOps practices
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Crossplane)
- Experience supporting or operating production systems
- Good understanding of containers (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
- Interest in data platforms, data systems, and how data is used across organisations
- Strong willingness to learn from others and develop new skills across domains
- Good communication skills and a collaborative, customer-focused mindset
