What are we looking for?
We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Cloud Operations SRE Engineer. The Lead Engineer function is responsible for providing technical direction to the Operations SRE function, driving strategic initiatives to enhance infrastructure reliability, scalability, and performance.
This role involves setting technical direction, and collaborating closely with other departments to support the organizations cloud strategy. High English level is required.
Work Location: 100 Remote ONLY in Spain
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership: Set the technical vision for the SRE team, ensuring alignment with overall business and technical strategies.Infrastructure Strategy: Define and implement strategies for infrastructure optimization, cost management, and scalability.
High-level Incident Management: Provide technical oversight for incidents and follow up actions, including coordinating response efforts whilst ensuring effective communication with stakeholders via appropriate channels (SNOW, JIRA) etc.
Platform management: Identify and implement opportunities to improve the platform resilience, reliability and cost profile.Process Automation: Identify and lead initiatives to automate operational processes and improve overall efficiency within the cloud environment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Security, and Support teams to ensure the Secure Landing Zone meets all requirements and standards.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in operations, reliability engineering, and team practices.
