Your role blends leadership with practical execution to maintain a reliable IT backbone for a remote-first company. This is a chance to influence security, efficiency, and user experience for a worldwide learning platform.

• Lead and manage the IT function, directly overseeing the current IT team member
• Perform hands-on daily IT operations and run helpdesk support for employees
• Own onboarding and offboarding processes (account provisioning, device setup, access grants, deprovisioning) for a smooth, secure experience
• Manage full device lifecycle (procurement, provisioning, decommissioning) across laptops, phones, and tablets
• Own and operate the MDM platform (policies, compliance, security configurations)
• Administer and maintain SaaS tooling stack (Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, and others)
• Manage user accounts, permissions, access controls, and conduct regular access reviews with least-privilege enforcement
• Collaborate with Engineering and other departments to identify and implement IT automation opportunities
• Contribute to IT security practices: endpoint protection, patch management, vulnerability response, security awareness
• Manage vendor relationships for IT services and hardware
• Maintain IT documentation, asset inventory, and internal knowledge base
• Support IT-related compliance requirements (COPPA, kidSAFE, data protection, etc.)

• 5+ years in IT operations or systems administration, with 1–2 years in a lead/senior role
• Strong hands-on skills in macOS and Windows environments
• Experience with MDM solutions (Kandji, Jamf, Fleet, JumpCloud, or similar)
• Solid knowledge of Google Workspace administration
• Experience with identity and access management, SSO, and directory services
• Experience designing onboarding/offboarding processes, ideally with automation
• Scripting ability (Bash, Python, or similar) to automate tasks
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewall basics)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills; fluency in English required; comfortable with asynchronous, remote work
• Ability to work in a fully remote company and collaborate across cultures
