Sr Director, Business Development - Agency

In this role you will lead The Trade Desk's Business Development Team, focusing on our most strategic agency partners to drive growth. You will manage a high-performing sales team, shape strategy, and coordinate resources to maximize value for clients, partners, and TTD.You will own revenue targets and the sales pipeline while representing the company at industry events. You will collaborate with product and cross-functional teams to scale opportunities across omnichannel, retail, and identity, differentiating our platform in a dynamic market.

- Develop new relationships and expand existing ones to generate opportunities
- Manage a team of experienced sellers and deploy resources to maximize client value
- Drive signings, renewals, and expansion across the agency and independent client base
- Own revenue target and manage the sales pipeline
- Represent TTD at industry events and speaking engagements
- Partner with clients to unlock opportunities across omnichannel, retail, and identity
- Communicate The Trade Desk's value proposition and competitive differentiators
- Demonstrate and win value propositions versus price
- Collaborate with the product team to share customer insights for product development
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant professional experience
- Experience managing high-performing teams in Advertising sales / Business Development
- Experience in online advertising roles (publisher, ad network, ad exchange, ad server, SEM platform, DSP, etc.)
- Established relationships with key stakeholders and technology decision-makers at agencies
- Thought leadership and strategy-building experience
- Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets
- Experience using sales enablement tools (Salesforce)
- Ability to manage longer sales cycles with multiple partners
- Comfort working cross-functionally to grow businesses
