Experteer Overview

As an Embedded Software Engineer at Verisure, you will develop and maintain Linux-based Central Unit software powering our IoT security ecosystem. You’ll own system-level work across connectivity, security, persistence, and IPC to ensure reliable customer experiences in real-world deployments.
You’ll collaborate with cross-site teams in Madrid and Malmö in an agile setting to bring up next-generation platforms and improve deployed products. This role offers impact across hardware, software, and operations, with a strong focus on reliability and security.

You’ll work in a hands-on, technically deep environment that values pragmatic problem-solving and knowledge sharing.

Compensaciones / Beneficios

Develop and maintain embedded Linux solutions across Wi‑Fi, modem, and system connectivity stacks
Design, integrate, and improve middleware libraries and HAL components for scalable platform services
Implement and harden system security capabilities (access control, secure communication, robustness)
Build and maintain persistence mechanisms for configuration, state, and operational data
Work with Linux IPC and service frameworks (D‑Bus, DDS) for reliable inter-process communication
Integrate and optimize core system services like time synchronization, power management, and lifecycle behavior
Debug and resolve field issues using logs, telemetry, crash dumps, and data-driven analysis
Collaborate with hardware, operations, product teams, and vendors to ensure end-to-end reliability

Responsabilidades

Experience in embedded Linux development (Yocto-based)
Experience with system-level debugging and troubleshooting
Skilled in C/C++ programming in Linux environments
Scripting and tooling for development and debugging
Proficient in English with strong technical communication skills
