Senior Software Engineer (Ruby/RoR, Chatbots & AI)

You’ll explore ecosystems and stay ahead of platform trends to enhance user experiences. This is a hands-on, impact-focused senior role at an innovative enterprise automation company.

• Build complex Ruby on Rails services within the Workato platform
• Continuously research Slack and MS Teams ecosystems, trends, and changes
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code
• Evaluate and propose improvements to the existing system
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies, presenting for architectural review

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related subject
• 5+ years of strong Rails experience (development, shipping, maintenance)
• Excellent debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and social skills
• Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming and design
• Go experience (nice to have)
• JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS, React, etc – nice to have)
• Knowledge of MS Teams or Slack platform & API is a plus
• Understanding of good user experience
• Willingness to work remotely with distributed teams
• Spoken English (Intermediate or higher)
