Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cohesity Data Protect Architect / Engineer with strong architectural and operational expertise to support a large-scale, enterprise-grade data protection environment. The role involves working in a global environment protecting petabytes (PBs) of data, supporting complex workloads, cyber resiliency initiatives, and major platform migration projects.
The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills in a risk-averse IT environment.

Key Responsibilities
Technical & Operational Responsibilities- Design, implement, and operate Cohesity Data Protect solutions in a large-scale global environment.
- Support and manage data protection for the following workloads:
o Physical Windows with Cristie
o Virtual backups:
- AHV (including application-consistent use cases)
- VMware vSphere
o Databases:
- Physical SQL (including AHV)
- VMware SQL (with migrations to AHV)
- PostgreSQL
o Enterprise applications:
- SAP on Oracle
- SAP on HANA
o GPFS
o Database dumps to Cohesity Views- Develop and maintain automation, reporting, and management scripts using PowerShell and/or Python.
- Apply cyber resiliency best practices, including secure backup and recovery strategies.
- Design and support Cyber Vaulting architectures (experience with Cohesity Fort Knox On-Prem is a strong plus; future project).
- Implement and support Cyber Recovery Automation solutions (e.g., Recovery Agent or similar technologies).

Project Involvement
The role will actively support and contribute to the following key initiatives:
- VMware to AHV migrations (highest priority project)
- Oracle to PostgreSQL migrations
- Ongoing enhancements to cyber recovery and resilience capabilities

Business & Communication Skills- Strong business-level English communication skills.
- Spanish language skills are required.
- Proven experience working in a risk-averse, highly regulated IT environment.
- Prior Pharmaceutical IT experience is a strong advantage.
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills, including:
o Operational and architectural documentation
o Technical solution summaries
o Root Cause Analyses (RCAs)
o Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with Cohesity Data Protect in enterprise-scale environments.
- Strong understanding of backup, recovery, and cyber resilience architectures.
- Experience supporting large, complex, multi-platform data protection environments.
- Scripting experience using PowerShell and/or Python.
- Experience working with mission-critical systems and strict operational standards.
