Sr. Director Legal – Iberia Hub

Experteer Overview

You will act as the single point of contact for assigned portfolios, driving cross-functional, legally sound solutions in areas such as promotion, market access, and compliance. You will shape governance through participation in ethics, compliance, and brand review activities, delivering pragmatic, business-minded legal advice.

• Provide legal counsel on EU and local pharmaceutical regulations (Spain, Portugal, Greece) and significant risk areas
• Partner with functional leaders and Legal colleagues on cross-functional projects ensuring up-to-date interpretations of laws and standards
• Serve as SPOC for assigned product portfolios and therapeutic areas within the Iberia Hub
• Lead integrated legal solutions for cross-functional issues including promotions, market access, and pricing
• Advise on exploitation of business opportunities while protecting Lilly's interests with strong business understanding
• Support compliance efforts and participate in ethics and compliance committees and brand reviews
• Monitor changes in law across the jurisdictions and deliver timely training as needed
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements; lead complex negotiations independently
• Make high-impact decisions on processes and projects as a respected, technically competent advisor
• Provide internal leadership on complex legal issues through active committee participation

• Law degree and Bar admission in Spain
• Minimum 10+ years of legal experience in a reputable law firm and/or as in-house counsel
• Prior in-house experience strongly preferred
• Experience in pharmaceutical/life sciences industry highly valued
• Demonstrable experience in pharmaceutical regulatory law and promotional compliance
• Fluency in Spanish and English (written and oral) mandatory
• Strong ability to solve complex legal problems for business clients in a fast-paced environment
