As a Senior Analytics Engineer at Dynatrace, you design scalable, AI-ready data products that support executive reporting, self-service analytics, and emerging AI use cases. You collaborate with data engineers, platform engineers, and BI teams to build trusted, reusable datasets and contribute to data modeling practices with governance in mind.You leverage AI-assisted development workflows to boost productivity and documentation. This role focuses on turning business needs into reliable analytical assets that scale with the company.
Compensaciones / Beneficios- Design and develop scalable analytic data models, curated datasets, conformed dimensions, and standardized metrics
- Translate complex business requirements into reliable, reusable data products for reporting and analytics
- Contribute to data models and metadata with AI readiness, including clear descriptions and semantic context
- Build data structures that support discovery and use across analytics, BI, and AI/ML use cases
- Adhere to standards for SQL, dbt modeling, testing, and documentation; maintain data quality checks
- Support semantic layer implementation with consistent metric definitions and business logic
- Maintain data governance, security measures in dbt models and Snowflake
- Collaborate with data engineers, platform teams, governance, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and adoption of best practices
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate tasks, and streamline development workflows
- 5–8+ years in analytics engineering or data modeling with strong SQL focus
- Strong SQL skills with complex queries and performance optimization
- Hands-on dbt Cloud experience (models, tests, documentation)
- Experience with Snowflake (query tuning and warehouse performance)
- Knowledge of dimensional modeling (Kimball): star schemas, conformed dimensions, slowly changing dimensions
- Experience within analytics engineering or data modeling frameworks and standards
- Ability to work independently on complex tasks and collaborate across teams
- Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders
- Experience with data quality validation, testing approaches, and governance alignment
- Proficiency with Git/GitHub workflows (pull requests, code reviews)
- Proven experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude)
- Experience or familiarity with Power BI and supporting downstream BI development
