Experteer Overview
As a Scientific Editor at Cell, you will evaluate and decide on research manuscripts while shaping their presentation for a broad life sciences audience. You will engage with authors, reviewers, and the Cell team to publish rigorous, transparent science across diverse topics.You’ll build relationships within the scientific community, recruit papers, and influence science communication practices. This role offers meaningful impact by advancing science and health through high-quality editorial work in a mission-driven, collaborative environment.

- Collaborate with authors and reviewers to publish impactful science across topic areas
- Engage with the scientific community at labs and conferences to learn about developments, recruit papers, and build relationships
- Work with the Cell team on editorial processes, decision making, and projects
- Advocate for science, provide thought leadership, and influence research communication
- Build strong relationships with Cell Press journals on content and collaborations
- Contribute to broader Cell Press and Elsevier initiatives
- Ph.D. or M.D. with relevant research experience
- Background in neuroscience, immunology, clinical/translational research, or genetics/genomics
- Editorial experience is a plus but not required
