In this role, you will lead global study delivery and build high-performing teams to ensure reliable, compliant execution that accelerates medicines to patients. You’ll set strategy for Study Management and champion scalable processes across locations, while adopting new methods and technologies.You will drive change, foster innovation, and ensure resources align with program needs. This is a mission-driven leadership position at AstraZeneca, shaping how studies run at a global scale.
Compensaciones / Beneficios- Line manage Global Study Associate Directors, recruit and develop staff, coach for performance and compliance, and ensure timely resource allocation
- Help define and implement the vision for Study Management in alignment with Clinical Operations strategy
- Lead cross-functional change initiatives, promote consistency across locations, and foster global process improvements
- Provide input into global processes, support capacity forecasting, and ensure studies meet quality and regulatory standards
- Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across Study Management and Clinical Operations
- Collaborate to optimize study delivery and drive efficient, compliant execution across the portfolio
- Bachelor's degree (preferred in medical or biological sciences)
- 10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry
- Comprehensive experience with ICH-GCP and drug development processes
- Proven leadership and ability to motivate and empower teams
- Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills
- Thorough knowledge of local and global Study Management processes
- Understanding of AstraZeneca's therapeutic areas
- Desirable: advanced scientific degree, line management experience, drive for efficient, high-quality delivery with reduced timelines and budgets
