In this Senior Applied Scientist role, you will advance language and input-intelligence models powering SwiftKey’s typing and multilingual experiences at scale. You’ll bridge research and shipped product, collaborating with engineering and product teams to deliver measurable impact across devices worldwide.You’ll design and run end-to-end experiments under real-world constraints, while upholding responsible AI practices. The position offers scope to deepen expertise in large-scale ML and influence product direction through rigorous, production-ready research.

- Promote responsible AI practices focusing on fairness, privacy-preserving techniques, and data handling.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and cross-org teams to productionize research at global scale.
- Improve research workflows through rigorous frameworks, tooling, and best practices.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field with related experience; equivalent experience acceptable.
- Proven experience owning full lifecycle of production ML systems from research to deployment.
- Strong Python and/or C++ skills; experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow; familiarity with ONNX is a plus.
- Experience conducting applied research under real-world constraints (personalization, global linguistic diversity, privacy-preserving learning, on-device/mobile contexts).
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
