Principal Product Manager - AI Foundations

You work with ML engineers and data scientists to align technical depth with product rigor, reducing duplication and technical debt. You’ll drive safety, evaluation standards, and orchestration to scale AI across Dow Jones. This high-leverage role combines platform thinking with cross-team influence to enable trusted, rapid AI delivery.

• Own the AI/ML infrastructure strategy and roadmap including model abstraction layers, evaluation frameworks, LLM orchestration, guardrails, and reusable services as internal APIs
• Design an adoptable, well-documented AI Foundations platform for internal developer customers across the company
• Define evaluation standards and tooling to measure quality, safety, and consistency of AI features
• Drive adoption of shared AI services across multiple product teams and influence internal product marketing
• Collaborate with ML engineers and data scientists, maintaining credibility through depth and rigor
• Identify duplication across AI implementations and build a consolidation plan to reduce technical debt

• 10+ years of product management experience
• direct experience owning AI/ML platform products (infrastructure layer)
• deep familiarity with evals design, LLM orchestration frameworks, prompt engineering infrastructure, guardrails, and model lifecycle management
• strong API product sense for internal developer customers, DX, versioning, documentation, adoption
• track record of driving adoption of shared platform capabilities across multiple product teams
• ability to engage in technical discussions with ML engineers and data scientists
• advanced knowledge of complex systems architecture and architectural trade-offs
