Experteer Overview
As a Senior Data Engineer in the Investment Data & Analytics team, you lead the Databricks-based data warehouse and data management platform to deliver insights for investment, real estate, and client-facing reporting. You will design scalable data architectures and automated ETL/ELT pipelines, enabling advanced analytics with data scientists and analysts.You drive performance, cost optimization, and data quality, with strong governance. This role blends technology leadership with finance-domain data, offering meaningful impact at Zurich’s ServiZurich hub.
Compensaciones / Beneficios- Lead development and continuous improvement of the Databricks-based data warehouse and data management platform
- Design and build robust, scalable data architectures
- Create and maintain automated ETL/ELT pipelines from diverse sources
- Monitor performance and identify bottlenecks to optimize costs and performance
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to enable analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives
- Implement data access controls, validation tools, and auditing capabilities for data quality and compliance
- Bachelor/Master's degree in computer science, information systems, data science, or related field
- At least 4 years of experience as a data engineer, data architect or similar role in financial services, asset management, or real estate
- Practical experience with Databricks or similar data intelligence platform
- Hands-on Python and SQL; Spark experience is a plus
- Experience with Azure cloud environments, data modelling, and data ontology/semantics for AI agents
- Knowledge of investment, financial market and/or real estate data
- Excellent command of English; German is a plus
